We have recently implemented view-through and click-through conversion tracking for our clients. This means we now know exactly how many people bought something (or completed a lead form) because they clicked on or saw a ReTargeted ad.
One of our clients, a company that sells dog food and other pet related products online, recently implemented our new conversion tracking system.
We saw some interesting results for the sales ReTargeter helped generate:
- <10% of the sales came directly from clicks on the ads
- ~40% of the sales came within 48 hours of someone seeing an ad
- The remainder of the sales were generated by somone who had seen an ad more than 48 hours ago
We were also able to share with our clients which ads led to the most conversions.
